Overall procedure flow

This section provides information on the overall procedure flow for foreign nationals who wish to become specified skilled workers. For more information about the procedures in the Kingdom of Cambodia, please inquire using the contact information below.

Application procedures

For those who wish to enter and reside in Japan with the "Specified Skilled Worker" status of residence, applications may be submitted to a Regional Immigration Services Bureau. For more information, please refer to the following pages.

The Cambodian government will issue a registration certificate as seen below in order to prove that the procedures in Cambodia have been followed. The registration certificate must be submitted during residency applications.

* The Memorandum of Cooperation between Japan and Cambodia stipulates that Japan must check the the applicant’s registration certificate (the document which proves that the applicant followed the procedures on the Cambodian side) during residency applications.
