How does the scoring work?

Highly skilled foreign professionals may apply for:
- Advanced academic research activities - Highly Skilled Professional (i) (a)
- Advanced specialized/technical activities - Highly Skilled Professional (i) (b)
- Advanced business and management activities - Highly Skilled Professional (i) (c)
These three categories were created based on the activities being done, and points are awarded based on factors such as educational history, work history, yearly income, research achievements, and so on. Points are calculated for the category that corresponds to the applicant's desired activity.
