Organizations (excluding those that are required to report the employment status of foreign nationals based on the Employment Measures Act) that accept mid to long-term residents who reside in Japan based on a work-related status of residence, such as "Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services” (excluding "Artist," "Religious Activities," "Journalist," and "Technical Intern Training"), or the "Trainee" status of residence are required to make every effort to notify the Minister of Justice within 14 days of the reason for the beginning (employment/appointment of officers, etc.) or ending (dismissal, resignation, etc.) of their employment.
Educational institutions that accept mid to long-term residents who are international students with the status of residence of "Student" must take all effort to notify the Minister of Justice within 14 days of the beginning (admission/transfer, etc.) or ending (graduation/withdrawal, etc.) of the enrollment of the student.
Educational institutions that accept students must also make every effort to notify the Minister of Justice of the status of acceptance of students within 14 days of May 1 and November 1 every year (notification of acceptance status of students).
