A Memorandum of Cooperation was exchanged with Mongolia regarding the "Specified Skilled Worker" status of residence with the aim of eliminating malicious intermediary businesses.
In light of the Specified Skilled Worker Program that began in April this year, the Ministry of Justice, along with relevant ministries and agencies, has been working on the creation and signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with countries from which foreign national personnel are expected to be sent in order to eliminate malicious intermediary businesses.
On April 17, 2019, Sodnom Chinzorig, the Minister of Labour and Welfare Services of Mongolia, visited Japan. A signing ceremony was held, and the two countries exchanged the Memorandum of Cooperation.
The Japanese Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; and National Police Agency, in cooperation with the Mongolian Ministry of Labour and Welfare Services, will work to eliminate malicious intermediary businesses for specified skilled workers and promote the smooth and appropriate accepting and sending of qualified personnel from Mongolia through the measures below.
