To help national and local governments better communicate with and share information with foreign nationals, the Immigration Services Agency and Agency for Cultural Affairs worked with a panel of experts to create "Easy Japanese Guidelines for Residency Support."
The Immigration Services Agency believes that it is important to use easy Japanese and multiple languages when communicating information from national and local governments to foreign nationals. To that end, an expert panel will convene from February 21 to create guidelines that explain the need for easy Japanese for residency support and to outline what "easy Japanese" is.
See the appendix.
Items to be discussed
The creation of "easy Japanese" guidelines for national and local governments to use when sharing information with foreign nationals.
